Port Moresby is experiencing an increase population growth, which puts a huge strain on the basic services delivered by the municipal authority.

The National Capital District Commission recently launched its urban development plan, a blue print for the next ten years, on addressing and also making the nation’s capital a livable city for its residents.

The population of Port Moresby is expected to hit the million people mark, by 2030, and Governor Powes Parkop says this urban development plan for 2020 to 2030 will improve the delivery of services to its citizens.
