The government has already released K158 million kina to schools as part of the tuition fee subsidy for the second quarter of the academic year.
Education Secretary Dr. Uke Kombra announced that the funds will be paid into school accounts before the end of Term 1.
Dr. Kombra says despite economic challenges, the government is fulfilling its commitment and on behalf of parents and schools commended the government for the release of K158 million for term two.
Dr. Kombra further urged school administrators to acquit the monies spent and provide quarterly reports to the Department, through the Provincial Education Offices in order to receive tuition fee grants.
